Initial Thoughts and Outline


Hello Bonn folks, 

I know I'm possibly cheating a little by bringing a pre-existing game idea to the Jam, but I'm afraid there's only so many hours in the day, and I can only focus on a limited number of ideas at a time. 

I spoke to some of you about my game idea for 'Dr. Strangelove: the game', and this the fruit of that germ. I have received really invaluable feedback from folks like Vincent, Meg, and Jay which have materially shaped this idea. (Especially Jay!). And while I have completed more work on this than is expressed here, the first document (Entited 'PREVIEW - No Fighting in the War Room') is a working draft of the initial game outline and rule book. The devil is in the detail, of course, and I'm chipping away at that problem as we speak. 

But in the interests of collegiality and academic outputs for Adrian et al's benefit, I'm throwing up an outline here. If you don't understand this outline, that's important feedback for me to clarify the ideas further. Ideally, however, you 'get' it, and want to read the specifics of the game (the dossiers, the victory tracks, and more). 

For now, I welcome any and all feedback (and even just encouragement).
