It's six minutes to midnight' on the Doomsday Clock, and you and your cabinet are in the War Room attempting to avoid complete and total nuclear annihilation.

On the upside, this whole 'mutually assured destruction' thing is obscuring that little "scandal" the media keep banging on about. There's a sliver lining to every mushroom cloud.

'No Fighting in the War Room' is an absurdist game of politics, nuclear annihilation, and the application of mismanaged ignorance. One player assumes the role of the President, while other players assume roles within the President's War Room, including the Vice President, the General of the Armed Forces, the Chief Intelligence Officer, the Chief Diplomat, and the Chief of Scientific Affairs. Each of these players has a unique Dossier of information about their foe, the Foreign President of The Free States Democracy (FSD).

The President has complete and total authority to manage the situation, but knows absolutely nothing, and must rely on the War Room to provide appropriate intelligence on the FSD. But it's not clear who knows what, whether it's accurate, or whether they are attempting to satisfy some kind of secret motive.

Meanwhile, another player assumes the role of the The Foreign President who - without fail - calls the President on the phone every fifteen minutes to negotiate an outcome that doesn't involve the end of life as we know it. Only the The Foreign President and the President may speak to one another, and the War Room is only able to hear their President's side of the conversation. After each conversation, the players decide whether the Doomsday Clock moves one minute close to, or further from, midnight.

Can the President and the War Room move the hand back to 10-minutes to midnight and save the world? Can they simply stop it from reaching midnight? Will the President be re-elected? Can the Chief Diplomat obscure the fact that they may be the father of the The Foreign President's youngest child? Can the Chief Intelligence Officer increase annual funding of 8% in the next fiscal year? Will the General of the Armed Forces be able to continue selling high-grade methamphetamine to North Korea? All we know right now is that the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction is that it's killing in the polls!
